Six tonnes of apples harvested in time for Killerton’s Apple Festival

Over 700 people have helped continue the tradition of hand-picking apples from the orchard at the National Trust’s Killerton estate, in time to be pressed at Killerton’s Apple Festival on 13 and 14 October. Thanks to hundreds of helping hands they were able to pick approximately 6 tonnes of apples, ready for the start of the cider and apple making season. CLIC for Christmas 2018 - final lineup revealed

On 4th October, the finalists from the Devon Schools Choir Competition, run by La La Choirs, took centre stage at Southernhay URC and competed for a chance to perform in Exeter Cathedral at the annual sell out concert, CLIC for Christmas. Three choirs had been shortlisted and the choirs at the final sang two songs each. Yet again, the standard was incredibly high, giving the judging panel a really hard time deciding between them. Action packed official opening of new East Devon skate park

Now that construction of East Devon District Council’s brand new skate park at Phear Park in Exmouth is complete, the council and the skate park’s designers Maverick Industries Ltd, would like to invite skateboarders, as well as scooter and BMX riders, to a special opening ‘jam’ event during the autumn half term break on Friday 26 October, from 12pm to 4pm, to help celebrate the opening of this fun facility.
