A wonderful weekend event for all lovers of the ancient Japanese tradition of Taiko featuring Amanojaku from Japan, Exeter's Kagemusha Taiko and others. Part of the 9th UK Taiko Festival.

A Feast of Taiko - Friday 5 July
Taiko drumming concerts are always an uplifting experience. This is the annual concert by the best young players in the country. It'll be an evening of high energy, excitement and inspiration, headlined by the multiple award-winning youth group from Kegemusha Taiko, and featuring other youth groups from across the UK.

Amanojaku - Saturday 6 July & Sunday 7 July
This is a rare chance to see one of Japan's finest professional taiko groups.

Founded in 1986 by taiko master, Yoichi Watanabe, Amanojaku are celebrated around the world not only for the grace and power of their performances, but for the originality of their compositions. The group has played in over 45 countries and were a sensation at the Edinburgh Festival in 2002.

Exeter is privileged to be welcoming the group back to the UK for two exclusive performances as part of the 9th UK Taiko Festival.

A support set will be played on both evenings by Kagemusha Taiko.

Book early to avoid disappointment.
