Devon County Show Partners with Iventis to Digitise Agricultural Show Planning Process

Devon County Show is delighted to announce a partnership with Iventis which takes the mapping of the showground to an entirely new, digital level.

The visual event planning technology, developed by Iventis, provides a range of tools that bring together mapping and CAD data into an easy-to-use visual format for precise, real-time event planning.

It is the functionality of layers that make up the bedrock of the new Devon County Show digital plan, enabling the team to plan out the 600 hundred stands on the 96-acre showground both quickly and efficiently.

BBC TV experts and presenters bring their stage show to Exeter

Stars of popular BBC daytime TV shows Bargain Hunt and The Travelling Auctioneers Christina Trevanion, Charlie Ross and Philip Serrell are bringing their popular stage show to the Nortcott Theatre in Exeter later this month.

The trio promise an evening of tales from behind the camera of the shows they all work on and an insight into how they all started in the antiques and auctioneering industry. Exeter's longest-running Christmas show to celebrate its 100th performance

Humbug!, an immersive Christmas experience created by Devon-based theatre company Wandering Tiger, will commemorate its 100th performance on Friday 8th December.

Since its debut in 2017, Humbug! has transported over 4000 people back in time to Victorian England, immersing them in a festive world of magic and wonder.

The site-specific show takes place throughout St Nicholas Priory, Exeter's oldest building, and brings the story of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol to life with a mixture of performance, video projection, and live music.

BAFTA award-winning writer and producer turned poet, Henry Normal, is back on the road touring the UK with a brand new show for 2023, alongside a very special guest - comedy legend Nigel Planer.

Kicking off in September 2023, Henry Normal will return to the stage alongside Nigel Planer, re-uniting this inimitable duo, who toured together in the early 90s. They will be performing at Exeter Phoenix Arts Centre on 12th October.

Spotlight to Shine Bright on Crafts & Gardens at Devon County Show 2023

The spotlight will shine brightly and musically on the Crafts & Gardens Marquee this year at Devon County Show. An installation, featuring a grand piano bedecked with flowers and in a woodland setting, is to be masterminded by Plantsmen, Horticulturalist, Florist and Show Garden designer, Kenny Raybould.

The installation will measure 5 x 5m and will be one of the centre pieces of the huge marquee - the largest on the showground.

Exeter Northcott hits target of gifting 500 Christmas theatre tickets and extends goal to 750

Exeter Northcott Theatre has launched a new stretch goal of gifting 750 tickets for its family Christmas show Robin Hood to children and young people in Devon through its Pay It Forward donation campaign by the end of this year, having reached its initial aim of giving away 500 tickets.

The Northcott’s Pay It Forward campaign, now in its third year, asks audience members to donate towards the cost of a theatre ticket for children and young people who would not otherwise be able to go.

Between January and October this year, 766 people donated £7,392 towards the campaign...
