Princesshay bringing Braille to restaurants

Princesshay has introduced Braille menus into its restaurants and cafes to show support for Princesshay’s new charity of the year for 2013, WESC Foundation: The specialist centre for visual impairment.

The new initiative aims to help Princesshay restaurants alleviate the issues faced by blind or partially sighted people when choosing what to order.

Global Indigo, a local not-for-profit organisation supporting worldwide co-operatives through ethical trade, will be hosting their first pop-up shop this Christmas in Exeter, from Thursday 13th to Sunday 16th December in McCoys Arcade, Fore St, Exeter.

The organisation encourages positive impact shopping by going further than Fairtrade and letting customers know exactly who they are helping, about their cause, and the issues they face.

Late-night opening for Hospiscare's city centre shops

Late-night opening begins tonight for Hospiscare's two city centre shops in the run-up to Christmas. The stores, in Fore Street and Sidwell Street, will stay open until 8pm on Thursday nights and both will also be opening on Sundays. Fore Street, where there is a very popular vintage section in the basement, will open from 10am until 4pm and Sidwell Street, which is opposite John Lewis, from 10:30am until 4:30pm.
