Rob Baxter has spoken of his delight after it was confirmed that he will form part of England's coaching team for their summer's tour to Argentina. Inactive lifestyles kill an estimated 36,815 people in England each year

Lack of physical activity could cause as many as 36,815 premature deaths in England each year, according to statistics released today by the South West Public Health Observatory (SWPHO) and charity Sustrans.

The statistics have been produced to help local authorities estimate how much they could reduce death and illness by promoting physical activity.

They show that current levels of physical activity among people aged 40-79 are low across England and that major health gains could be made if they increased.

Devon and Cornwall Police praised for arresting fewer girls

Arrests of girls by Devon and Cornwall Police have fallen by 35 per cent in three years, figures obtained by the Howard League for Penal Reform reveal today (19 March).

Devon and Cornwall officers made 813 arrests of girls aged 17 and younger during 2011 – a significant drop compared to 2008, when 1,247 arrests were recorded.

It comes after the Howard League launched a campaign aimed at keeping as many children as possible out of the criminal justice system.

Every effort must be made to ensure a vaccine is available later this year to help combat the spread of the deadly Schmallenberg virus (SBV), the NFU said today.

Exeter Chiefs flanker Tom Johnson is due to pick up his fifth England cap after being picked for the team that will take on Australia tomorrow.

The in-form player claimed his first ecer try in the international match against Fiji last weekend.

Johnson and his team can be seen in action on Sky Sports 1 (kick-off 2.30pm).

Exeter Chiefs forward Tom Johnson celebrated winning his fourth England cap by getting on the scoresheet in his side’s 54-12 victory over Fiji at Twickenham, writes Mark Stevens.

The all-action flanker landed one of seven tries for Stuart Lancaster’s team in their opening QBE Autumn international.

Also on the mark for England were Charlie Sharples (2), Ugo Monye and Manu Tuilagi (2), whilst fly-half Toby Flood kicked over 17 points with a further two for replacement Owen Farrell.

Exeter Chiefs forward Tom Johnson has today been named in Stuart Lancaster's England squad for the for the first QBE International against Fiji at Twickenham Stadium on November 10.

The all-action back-row forward is one of 32 players who will meet at St George’s Park, Burton on Sunday, including James Haskell (London Wasps), Ugo Monye (Harlequins), Mako Vunipola (Saracens) and Tom Youngs (Leicester Tigers) – all promoted from the England Saxons Elite Player Squad as injury replacements for Tom Croft, Ben Foden, Alex Corbisiero and Rob Webber respectively.
