Symposium, Beyond the Book
Thursday 15 May, 10am-5.30pm
This day-long event investigates what happens when artists consider the matter of books and asks if there is a UK book art movement. It is held in association with the exhibition at the Devon Guild of Craftsmen 'Beyond the Book (5 April-June) and is supported by Exeter University's Arts & Culture dept.

Speakers and debating groups will consider and examine the following specific areas:

THE FORM OF THE BOOK / POETICS – MEMORY AND LANGUAGE / RE-USE AND RECYCLING / THE FUTURE OF BOOKS
