The truth about SPF

With this summer heat comes decisions, decisions! Making good decisions now can save you from premature ageing and possibly worse later on, so choose wisely. Which sun cream is most effective? Which sunscreens won't break you out?

If you can't stay in the shade between 11am and 3pm, make sure you are wearing an SPF suitable for your skin tone. The final episode of The Apprentice aired tonight on BBC1 at 8.00pm and saw Lord Sugar taking on Dr Leah Totton as a business partner with a personal investment of £250,000. Luisa Zissman with a proposed wholesale bakery business narrowly lost out to Leah's business plan for a chain of Medical Cosmetic clinics to be Lord Sugar’s Apprentice for 2013. The nation was on the edge of their seats to find out whether Lord Sugar would take the safe option of baking or the cosmetic route, which for him, has a moral dilemma.

Yet Leah’s new business venture proposal is not a new concept, as...

Is massage therapy a luxury reserved only for the ladies? Absolutely not!

Men can enjoy and reap the benefits of massage too, especially after a long workweek doing all that overtime! Some of the top companies in the world offer workplace massage because they know its powerful benefits including enhanced morale and ability to handle heavy workloads. What many people don't know is these benefits extend far beyond just the workplace. Massage reduces the stress hormone, cortisol and releases the 'feel-good' hormones, dopamine and serotonin. Too much cortisol in the...

What is TEEN Beauty?

Let's face it—teens are overwhelmed with pressure by mates, classmates and themselves to look like unrealistic representations of people who should not be role models. Whether they are trying to copycat the makeup look of a reality show sexpot or watching the most recent video of their favourite pop star's lyrical exploration about sex, many teens are just following the crowd—and looking much older than they should. Many teens and adults alike don't realise that these celebrity 'ideals' of beauty go through hours upon hours of skin treatments, skincare, hair and...

See Spots Run

You would think with all the spot products and vanishing creams on the market, we would see clearer faces in the hallways of high schools and secondary schools.

The problem is, most teenagers don't think about taking care of their skin. They think they and their bodies are invincible but the truth is, if acne is left untreated it's easy to pick at a spot and cause even more damage or worse - end up with scars for life. The first step is cleansing not only the skin, but deep down...
