University of Exeter to sponsor Exeter Respect Festival 2023

The University of Exeter has today announced they are once again proudly one of this year’s sponsors of Exeter Respect Festival, being held at Belmont Park on Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th June.

This year marks the 26th anniversary of the first Respect Festival in Exeter in 1997, that brought communities together to celebrate their differences and commonalities.

Exeter Respect Festival is not letting Covid-19 get the better of them. Instead of taking place in Belmont Park, its home since 2009, the festival will be represented online at www.exeter-respect.org from midday on Sunday 5th July 2020 with material reflecting the music, art and dance contributed by well-loved participants of the Exeter Respect Festival.

Then Exeter Respect will hold a vigil at Belmont Park at 5pm. Bring your pen or colours to draw or write a message on the wall.

St James Park heritage celebration

Have you got special memories of St James Park? Do you have any items relating to the history of the ground or Exeter City Football Club?

If so please come along to the Exeter Respect Festival and meet the team from the Exeter City Supporters Trust working on the Heritage Lottery Fund supported project on the history of the stadium.

They would love to see you, hear about your memories and look at any memorabilia you have. Various historic items will be on display.
