Exeter jogger in hospital after running into rope tied across a footbridge

A woman out running with her partner has been seriously injured after running into a rope that had been deliberately tied across the pathway on a footbridge, near to Double Locks in Exeter. The woman, aged 33, is understood to have suffered a serious neck injury and is in hospital. Her condition is being described as stable but serious. The 5th Annual Double Locks Dog Show

The 5th annual Double Locks Dog Show takes place on Sunday 18 August.

There are six categories to choose from, including Waggiest Tail and Most Unusual Trick. Register on the day from noon or in advance at the pub.

It costs £5 to enter two categories, and if your dog wins one, it will get put into the Double Locks Dog of the Year category automatically!

This year's dog show is raising funds for Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Rude Awakening will be playing live from 3pm.

Cycle & Paddle with BBQ

This event is aimed at promoting the Samsung Bike Week and encouraging as many people to get on or get back on a bike for Sunday 23 June.

The day will start at 9am from the Double Locks Pub Garden, we will encourage people to park at the Canal Bridges car park and cycle to meet us. The ride will set off between 9am and 10am. A friendly team of staff from exeplore limited, the kayakhub and sustrans will be able to assist with cycling tuition and bike checks if required.
