On Wednesday 18th December 2013 Exeter Baking Club are hosting a Christmas baking party!!

Dig out those Christmas jumpers and join us at The Hub On The Green, Cathedral Close from 7pm - 9:30pm where we will be baking up lots of gingerbread which you can use to make lots of goodies - men, houses, whatever takes your fancy!

£7 per person with all baking materials provided.

Half Term Family Pizza Workshop at Strada

Exeter City FC offers Social Action training with a difference to city’s young people

Local voluntary support agency Exeter CVS are teaming up with Exeter City FC and the British Council to offer free Active Citizens training to the city’s young people, with an unusual twist.

The 5-day course in November will show learners aged 18-25 how they can engage in social action: making a difference through volunteering, campaigning, or engaging with authorities to improve services and make change. Put fun with food on the menu this summer holiday

Budding young chefs in Exeter are being given the chance to roll up their sleeves, put on their aprons and show off their culinary skills at Fun Kitchen cookery workshops.

During the summer holidays children aged between eight and fourteen, are being invited to cook up a selection of scrumptious treats and mouth-watering dishes in the Fun Kitchen at St Peter's Church of England School, Exeter. ​

To fit around parents' busy working lives, children can be can dropped off from 8.30am with an entertaining and fun-filled day of cookery activities going on until 5.30pm.

Today marks the start of Food Safety Week 2013 (10-16 June) and this year the Food Standards Agency (FSA) is asking: ‘Are you ready to cook safely?’

Charity-run cookery classes which have helped novices in Devon to fend for themselves in the kitchen, will be running again this June.

The Hospiscare Catering Team at Dryden Road Exeter began the series of courses in September last year and have taught people, many who have never had to cook for themselves, basic culinary skills.

The courses are for anyone who has found themselves alone following a bereavement or are looking after a poorly partner and doesn’t have the first idea how to prepare and cook a basic meal.

Calling all cake fans - Help for Heroes’ annual Colossal Cake Sale is upon us again.

This year the Colossal Cake sale is supported by celebrity chef James Tanner and talk show host Lorraine Kelly.

This wonderful collaboration between Eggs for Soldiers and Help for Heroes is now in its second year and will be setting alight our taste buds.
