Double success for Exeter School's equestrian team

Exeter School's equestrian team has qualified for the National Team Show Jumping Championships at Bury Farm.

This success is hot on the heels after coming joint first in the National Schools Equestrian Association (NSEA) competition which qualified the team for the National Finals at Hickstead in May.

The 90cm team, consisting of Megan Bailey, Alice Bailey, Olivia Eden and Sophie Walker, won the class overall, beating over 50 competitors from a large number of South West Schools.

Team Manager Alison Bailey said this was a fantastic achievement and qualifies them for the county Show Jumping Team Championships in April.

"The team finished first on 0 penalties in a very fast time and are therefore County Champions," she said.

Sophie and Olivia were both placed fourth and fifth individually and Sophie Walker also went on to be placed second as an individual in the 1m class.
