Cumberland Grange care home in Exeter recently presented FORCE Cancer Charity with a cheque for £215.87 following on from a successful coffee morning held at the home. FORCE provides free support and information to anyone affected by cancer at their centre in Exeter and at local community hospitals. They offer counselling, group sessions, complementary therapies, benefits advice, specialist physiotherapy and exercise guidance and other health and wellbeing support. Their services are available to cancer patients and their families.

The care home welcomed Ceri Bastyan back to the home to receive the cheque.

Marc, General Manager at Cumberland Grange, said: “We are always keen to show as much support as we can to local charities. We recognise the amazing work that FORCE do to support those affected by cancer. It is a charity close to many of our hearts so we wanted to hold a coffee morning with a cake sale and a great raffle and invite family, friends and the community in to join us. We had the support from Greendale Farm Shop, Illumine Candle Co., Waitrose, Tesco, Luscombe Drinks and Zunzun with their kind raffle prize donations so we are very grateful to them. It was a wholesome morning raising money for such a worthy cause.”

Our varied life enrichment programme keeps residents active, and provides a daily choice of engaging physical, mental and spiritual activities tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.
