A collaboration of local musicians have raised the tuneful sum of £906 for Rainbow Living, following a Celebration Concert for the Exeter charity.

The concert, organised by award winning flautist Leonie Stevenson-Jones with Anne Jones and supported by The Stella Mars Trio and a number of talented local performers, was held to mark Rainbow Living’s 10th Anniversary.

Over 100 people enjoyed an evening of light classical music, song, guitar and poetry, and had the opportunity to hear about the work of Rainbow Living and how the charity supports adults with learning disabilities in Exeter and Devon.

All proceeds from the Celebration Concert will go towards Rainbow Living’s #ProjectRefurb3 appeal, which is raising money to refurbish the charity’s third Rainbow House in Exeter to make it suitable for the individual needs of the new tenants.

Ruth Airdrie from Rainbow Living said: “We would like to say a really big thank you to all the talented musicians who helped us to celebrate our 10th Anniversary in this special way, and for raising such an amazing amount towards refurbishing our third Rainbow House. We are very grateful to everyone who so generously gave their time, it was a wonderful evening and enjoyed by many.”
