Choccie Bar Shortlisted in Food Awards

Choccie Bar is shortlisted for Foodie Product of the Year in the 2014 Food Magazine awards.

In October and November, over 3,000 votes were cast by food readers for their favourite chefs, restaurants, cafes and products in the South West.

The nominations have been counted and a shortlist drawn up and Choccie Bar is in the final three in the shortlist for Foodie Product of the Year.

food editor Jo Rees comments on the incredible growth in intrestd and support for these awards: "food readers clearly feel strongly about supporting their favourite local chefs and food businesses, and we’ve been blown away by the number of votes cast in the first round", she says. "It’s easy to underestimate how important winning an award like this is to the food businesses involved so we urge South West foodies to push their favourite in the shortlist through to the final three. Best of luck to everyone!’

Choccie Bar owner, Katie Jones is delighted by Choccie Bar's inclusion in the shortlist:
" We are constantly enthused and inspired by our customers and their willingness to support and feedback to us on their thoughts and ideas - we have a number of products entirely down to the suggestions and preferences of our Choccie Bar friends and because of that, this shortlisting is very important to us - thanks guys!!", she says.

Shortlist voting will close on February 2, 2014, at midnight. The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony at Yeo Valley HQ on February 24. To add your vote for Choccie Bar, visit the food mag, scroll down and tick Choccie Bar!
