X Factor finalist Luke Friend will perform at this year’s Bicton Fest family music festival next month.

Originally from Teignmouth, Luke will be welcomed back to Devon to showcase his latest music at Bicton College’s annual Bicton Fest weekend from 29th – 31st August.

Incorporating three days of music across three stages in beautiful East Devon, Luke will be joining fellow musician and contestant from The Voice, Adam Isaac, as well as a plethora of local acts including Mad Dog Mcrea, Wille & The Bandits and many more.

Taking time from the recording studio to play live throughout the summer, 17 year old Luke will be performing on the main stage on Friday 29th August. Acts and festival-goers are encouraged to camp at Bicton Fest to enjoy the music, family entertainment and local trade stands exhibiting throughout the weekend.

As part of Bicton Fest, ‘The Big Gig’ will take over on Sunday 31st August, organised by The Music Mill media centre. It will celebrate 25 years of BBC Radio Devon’s John Govier and his support of the South West music scene, with performances, guests and cake.

Bicton Fest organiser Sarah Adam says, “It’s an honour to welcome Luke and so many talented artists from the South West here to play at Bicton Fest. The calibre of talent and variety of music will really make for an exciting festival weekend, and we can’t wait to welcome music lovers of all ages.”
