On Friday 22nd November 2013, at the Centre Spot Bar, Exeter City Football Club, a number of Devon's finest amateur choirs will go head to head before a panel of local judges to win the opportunity to perform at Exeter Racecourse on 19 December 2013.

Our panel of judges include former Exeter Chief, Chris Bentley, Bruce Henderson of Exeter City FC, Director of Music at Exeter Cathedral Choir, Andrew Millington and Deputy Head of the Media and Performing Arts Faculty at Exeter College, Andrew Mcilvain.

A team of four Ashfords' trainees have organised the choir sing-off competition to raise money and awareness in the local community for the charity, Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust (Jo's Trust).

How does this affect me?

Did you know that every year in the UK, over 3,000 women will be diagnosed with cervical cancer and nearly 1,000 women will die from the disease? Cervical cancer is the most common cancer in women aged 35 and under, yet Jo’s Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to women and their families affected by cervical cancer and cervical abnormalities. To find out more about Jo's Trust and their work please visit www.jostrust.org.uk.

We need you to raise awareness for this charity and the fantastic work they do!

How can you help us?

- Come and join us on the evening of the 22nd and support your favourite choir. Doors open at 6.30 pm and tickets are only £3 in advance or £5 on the door.

- Donate a prize for our raffle, whether little or large all will be very gratefully received.

- Most importantly spread the word amongst your friends and family in order to raise awareness of cervical cancer and the fantastic work of Jo's Trust!

Please offer your support and help us make this event ever more fantastic!
