Tickets on sale for Exeter Round Table fireworks

Remember, remember….it’s that time of year again and Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) is delighted to once again be working with Exeter Round Table for the 2016 Firework display at Westpoint on Saturday 5th November.

Tickets are on sale now and can be brought from the Devon Air Ambulance website: http://www.daat.org/event/round-table-charity-fireworks-display

In anticipation of the release of Rogue One in cinemas this December the theme of this year's display will be Star Wars. As well as being the Largest pyro-musical charity firework display in Devon, there will also be a large fair with lots of thrilling rides, a range of food and drink stalls, and ample free parking.

Gates will open at 5:30pm and the fireworks will start at 7.30pm.

DAA Fundraising Director Caroline Creer stated “This is the fourth year that Exeter Round Table has supported Devon Air Ambulance with their fireworks, for which we are extremely grateful.

"It’s always an amazing display and we are really excited to once again be involved. We are hoping to see a turn out all of our supporters who have attended in previous years as well as looking forward to welcoming lots of new faces.”

Fireworks Organiser Matt Church stated: “This year we are continuing our themed display with Star Wars; which will hopefully get people in the mood for Rogue One.

"As usual, we will provide the largest charity pyro-musical firework display in the area. All funds raised go to some great charities and causes including Devon Air Ambulance, which makes all of the organising worthwhile. So please come along and enjoy the evening and help us help the local community!”

DAA received an incredible £8741 from the Exeter Round Table Firework display in 2015 and the funds raised have contributed to the development of the extension of DAA’s operating hours, scheduled to extend until midnight as of autumn 2016.

Due to the overwhelming generosity of the communities, businesses and friends of Devon, DAA have not only been gearing up to extend their service to operate until midnight, but have also invested in the clinical development of their aircrew.

Twenty of DAA’s paramedics have been undertaking a Master Degree course in Pre-hospital Critical Care/Transport and Retrieval, making them amongst the highest qualified in the profession and will make Devon a centre of excellence for pre-hospital critical care.

You can keep up to date with all the exciting news and events happening in support of DAA by following on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and of course reading the Helipad magazine – the next issue will be out mid November.

Tickets are also available from Devon Air Ambulance shops at Cowick Street, Heavitree and Topsham.
