Students at Blundell’s School, Tiverton, held their own referendum on Europe today (23 June).

During assembly in chapel, they heard two Year 12 politics and economics students put the case to Leave or Remain in the EU, under the watchful eyes of ‘Boris’, ‘Nigel’, ‘George’ and ‘David’.

After an informed hustings, students then voted at lunchtime via the choice of two buttons on a touchpad and the results were fed back to the IT department.

Remain campaign won, with 381 (58%) voting to stay in against 273 to leave.
