Powderham Castle supports Hospiscare

Powderham Castle has chosen local charity Hospiscare as their charity of the year.

Hospiscare are delighted that the historic family home and estate in Kenton, near Exeter have chosen to support Hospiscare. 

Throughout the year the popular attraction will have collection tins around the house and estate, as well as helping with the promotion of Hospiscare’s numerous fundraising events.

Corporate Fundraiser at Hospiscare, John Arnold said: ‘I’d like to thank Powderham Castle for selecting Hospiscare to be its charity partner this year.  I hope this partnership will raise awareness of the work we do and the impact it has in the local community.  We look forward to a successful year working with Powderham’s staff on this exciting initiative.

‘’We are delighted to be joining with local cancer charity FORCE to stage the first ever Heroes and Villains 10k Run at Powderham on Sunday 7th September. This will be a fun day for all with a choice of 5k, 10k or family run. There will be prizes for the finishers and the best fancy dress. Staff at Powderham Castle have been invited to Hospiscare’s Exeter hospice for a tour of the patient ward and day hospice. These tours allow fundraisers to see what they help to achieve for patients across Exeter, mid and east Devon.
