Police are appealing for witnesses after an altercation took place near The Strand at Exmouth, on Sunday the 31st January at around 2pm.

Detective Sergeant Pete Boorn said: “We are currently investigating an alleged fight that took place outside The Strand in Exmouth.

"While one man has been charged in connection with this incident, we believe that there were a large amount of witnesses present who could help police with their enquiries.

“We are therefore asking anyone in the area who witnessed the incident to come forward to the police. Please make yourselves known to us as you could hold vital information.”

Det Sgt Boorn added: “We are also wanting to locate a crossbow which was stolen from a property in the area on the 22nd of January. It’s approximately 4 feet in length; black in colour has various specialist adaptations including night vision and silencers. If you have seen the crossbow or have recently been offered this item for sale, please contact police immediately.”
