Firefighters tackle blaze in bin lorry

Firefighters tackled a blaze in the rear of a refuse wagon in Exeter today.

The incident happened in Verney Street at 07.11.

Crews used one hosereel to extinguish the fire and a thermal imaging camera was also used to check contents for hot spots.

The cause of the fire was recorded as accidental.
