Shortlist announced for Michelmores’ prestigious Property Awards 2024

The highly-regarded Michelmores Property Awards are returning in 2024, marking 21 years of celebrating the South West’s best property, development and construction projects.

The shortlisted projects have now been announced for the Awards – a high-profile, sell-out event with around 450 individuals in attendance – to celebrate outstanding property and construction projects in Bristol, Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, Dorset, Somerset, Devon and Cornwall.

Yeandle calls on Chiefs to rise to the challenge

Jack Yeandle says he and his Exeter Chiefs team-mates will need to “rise to the challenge” when they tackle Montpellier in Sunday’s European Champions Cup fixture.

Having kicked off their campaign with a 24-15 victory over Glasgow Warriors last Saturday, the Chiefs will now make their way across the English Channel for an equally testing assignment against the star-studded French outfit at the Altrad Stadium (2pm).

Number of divorces highest since 2009

The number of divorces in 2016 was the highest seen since 2009 with an increase of 5.8% from the previous year according to official figures just released.

Director, Rachel Buckley from The Family Law Company said: “The figures tell us there were 106,959 divorces within opposite-sex couples, and another 112 for same-sex couples.

Hedgehog Highways, a scheme developed by Redrow West Country, has won a prestigious award at the Big Biodiversity Challenge Awards 2017.

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has launched a campaign with property industry charity LandAid* to raise over £2 million in the biggest ever fundraising campaign for the charity. Stagecoach South West has announced that, from 29 October 2017, it will be making a number of changes to its Torbay bus services, improving reliability and connectivity over a core part of its network.
