Exeter City Community Trust, the charitable arm of Exeter City Football Club, is stepping into a new sport as it joins a major national initiative to grow women’s rugby in the city ahead of the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025.

Every Spring and Autumn Freemasons from around Devon meet to give support totalling in excess of £50,000 to local charities & organisations throughout the county who are in need of assistance, “SENSE” the Charity for the Deafblind who are based in Exeter & Newton Abbot were one of the groups who were nominated by their local lodge St. Michaels of Dawlish.

The Exeter branch of RGB Building Supplies is thanking the generous local community for donating gifts to its 2018 Christmas Giving Tree Appeal in aid of Children’s Hospice South West.

The builders merchant invited customers to donate gifts so that a hamper of presents could be given to every family being supported by the hospice over the festive period. The donations have now been passed on to the charity in time to be given out on Christmas day.

A Somerset charity promoting health and wellbeing for older people has received a cash injection from a leading housebuilder in the region. Age UK Somerset, based in Taunton, has been handed £1,000 from persimmon Homes South West’s Community Champions fund. The grant will go towards organising sessions for clients to improve their activity levels, reducing and preventing illnesses and generally improving quality of life and wellbeing. Three separate grants have been made recently by the Freemasons of Devonshire totalling over £4000 to Pete’s Dragons a charity dedicated to supporting those who have been bereaved by suicide across Devon.

Exeter businesses donate hundreds of items to support city's foodbank at Christmas

Over 500 items of food have been donated by Exeter businesses to support local families this Christmas. The generous companies made the donations in aid of the Exeter Foodbank at an event staged by NatWest at the city’s Cookery School recently. Last year more than 5,500 people, including 1,610 children, needed to use the foodbank, which was launched in 2008 to help people affected by financial crisis. A Dorset project to benefit people living with dementia patients through music has been handed £1,000 from a regional builder.

The innovative Press Play To Rewind programme created by Musica Music and Wellbeing, based in Shillingstone, uses personalised playlists and meaningful music as part of a dementia care package for patients and was awarded the funds by Persimmon Homes South West.

Rainbow Living announce partnership with Exeter Golf & Country Club

Rainbow Living is very excited to announce the charity has been selected by Exeter Golf and Country Club as the Golf Captains’ Charity of the Year for 2018/19.

Over the next 12 months Exeter Golf and Country Club is aiming to raise £10,000 for Rainbow Living, which is a local volunteer-run charity providing accommodation for adults with learning and other disability. 18th Exeter School concert in aid of the National Trust

For many pupils, parents and National Trust supporters, the Exeter School Concert in aid of the National Trust in Exeter Cathedral is a highlight in the festive calendar.

For the eighteenth year running, the concert showcases the school's senior orchestral groups, brass and choirs in the magnificent cathedral setting.
