Silicon Valley ‘smart module optimisation’ company Tigo is looking to become a key player in the UK solar PV market, and it’s chosen Exeter-based solar experts SunGift Trade to help boost its sales.

Dispute resolution expert Simon Bean is moving to Everys Solicitors in Exmouth to head up its litigation department.

An Exeter opticians is hosting a collection drive for old and unused glasses in aid of Vision Aid Overseas (VAO) throughout June. Specsavers, located at 247 Highstreet, is asking locals to search high and low for old pairs of specs, as staff aim to collect a record number of glasses for the UK-based charity. Exeter 19-year-old on course to make first million

He’s already won a business award, taken on 25 staff and is heading for his first £1 million turnover. And now Chris Rundle’s company GK Signs is on schedule to sticker in excess of 8,000 vehicles this year for the likes of Thrifty Car and Van Rental and Hertz Rent a car.

Small businesses face unqualified ‘accountant’ risk

South West small businesses could be inadvertently damaging their growth prospects by paying accountants who aren’t even qualified, warns ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).

The warning comes after research from cloud accounting software provider ClearBooksPro showed just eight per cent of small businesses considered an accountant’s qualifications when choosing one.
