Residents in the East Devon area concerned about delays affecting postal voting in the UK General Election are urged to read the following guidance.

Postal votes for the two constituencies that cover the whole East Devon area ( Exmouth and Exeter East , and Honiton and Sidmouth ) were despatched on:

  • 14 June to overseas electors
  • 18 June to voters living in the UK who were already a postal voter before 22 May

Overnight road closures planned on A379

Overnight road closures will be needed on the A379 on the outskirts of Exeter for three evenings next month.

As part of the current work at Trood Lane junction there will be night time closures on the A379, between Ellacott Road and the Devon Hotel Roundabout, starting on the evening of Tuesday 9 July.

On the nights of Tuesday (9 July), Wednesday (10 July) and Thursday (11 July) the road will be closed from 7pm until 6am the following day.
