Exhibition: Annabel Hanson

Having studied printmaking for 6 years, Annabel has started painting again. She is particularly interested in the farm animals in and around Whitestone (near Exeter) and in the surrounding countryside where she lives. Annabel uses vibrant colours and a bold technique to capture the beauty of nature.

“In 2004, my family and I moved from London to Devon. I love the Devon
countryside, being surrounded by mother natures beauty and very much enjoy trying to paint it! My background in print has a strong influence on my approach to painting- I have always seen a lot of colour in things and also use blocks of colour to describe things. These blocks may be small, sometimes larger, depending on the subject matter and how I feel at the time.
From early childhood I have had a passion for cows and this has stayed
with me ever since. I enjoy painting them and have tried to capture their curious and beautiful nature!” Most of the paintings are for sale, please see information displayed by each painting.

Please note: access to the Chapter House is occasionally limited due to other activities.
