Exeter School pupil Zachary Marsh has been elected Member of Youth Parliament for Exeter for the next two years. The Lower Sixth Former's election campaign included making presentations at local schools and clubs. As part of his role Zachary will join all UK Youth Parliament members in the House of Commons for two debates on matters concerning young people during his term in office.

Zachary said it was an honour and a privilege to be elected by young people in Exeter to be their Member of Youth Parliament.

"I look forward to working with them to get their voices heard and make positive changes, particularly in making public transport cheaper and improving mental health awareness," he said.

"I'm sure this will be a great opportunity for me, but above all I want to make a real difference to those I represent."

We wish him the best of luck.
