Gents 4 Man Team Open

Over 200 players took part in the gents 4 Man team open. The club got extremely lucky with the weather given that a severe weather warning had been issued. The early starters of Mark & Paul Champion, Martyn Newbery and Jon Parry (Exeter Golf and Country Club) were the victors with a fine 86 points, narrowly beating another home team of Ian Black, John Fairman, Lyndon Bent & Richard Pillow.

Wednesday Stableford Divisional

Winners as follows:

Division 1 (0-9): 1 Ian Plowman 38 points, 2 Joseph Carnell 37, 3 Phil Mills 37.
Division 2 (10-14): 1 Andy Garner 39m 2 Graham Crocker 38, 3 Nick Rudling 37.
Division 3 (15-19): 1 Luke Crocker 38, 2 Alan Quantick 36, 3 Alex Boulton 36.
Division 4 (20-28): 1 Fred Ross 39, 2 John Milford 38, 3 Bob Flower 37.

Gary Milne Classic

Over 160 members took part in the Annual Professionals day, the Gary Milne Classic. With various Nearest the Pins and Beat the Pro challenge on the 4th Hole, a great day was had by all. With a firm golf course, Fred Ross ran out the overall winner with 39 points, beating Andy garner with a better back 9.

Nearest the Pin prizes as follows: 4 Ben Harding, 6th Julian Bennett, 10th Mike Trim, 12th Charles Kislingbury, 16th Andrew Rockey.

DCGU Palairet Memorial Trophy

Exeter Golf and Country Club are through to finals day after a narrow and tight victory against Holsworthy Golf Club. Exeter will play Fingle Glen in the Semi Finals on 17 August (Venue TBC). Torquay and Elfordleigh will join us at Finals Day.
