Shotgunned , a brand new play written and directed by Matt Anderson, starts its 37 night UK-wide tour this weekend at Barnfield Theatre in Exeter.

The Real McCoy, Exeter’s longest running retro destination, unveiled its new-look Vintage Emporium to customers and VIP guests on Friday 1 August. The Aladdin's Cave of the South West's fashion scene celebrated their expansion with Prosecco, canapés and a live set from DJ Charlie Goodvibes.

Local businesswomen enjoyed cocktails and canapés to celebrate their nominations in the Nat West Devon Venus Awards 2014 at Sapphire Living Space on 10 July.

Exeter's RIBA at Sapphire Living Space

Sapphire Living Space hosted an event for Exeter's RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) on 19 June.

Local architects and interior designers attended the showroom for presentations by Regen South West as well as Swiss Bathroom manufacturer, Laufen.

The presentations were accompanied by drinks and canapés, cooked by Daniel Dennis.

A sell-out audience of 600 people will come together on Thursday, October 2 to celebrate the completion of the multi-million pound redevelopment.

With Sandy Park currently undergoing major redevelopment works, the award-winning Rugby & Event venue promises to be the crown jewel within the Westcountry when it comes to offering Premier Sport and Conferencing needs.

McCoy takes a double at Newton before Ladies Day

Next Tuesday sees the social highlight of the season at Newton Abbot with the popular St Austell Brewery, Ladies’ Day, mixing fashion with an evening of summer jumps racing.

The racing action starts at 6.00pm with the Triton Galleries Maiden Hurdle over two miles and six furlongs and the curtain comes down with the Welcome Back Again Sean Dooner Lady Amateur Riders´ Handicap Hurdle at 8.45pm.

The two most valuable races of the evening are the St Austell Brewery Novices´ Chase over an extended two miles and five furlongs and the teamremovals.com Handicap Hurdle.

Makeover raises over £1,300 for Dream-A-Way

Woodbury Park was the venue for a superb Makeover event arranged by Penny Albertella, the director of the Southernhay Clinic and the Dream-A-Way Dream Team.

Nearly 100 ladies enjoyed delicious canapés and refreshing Pimms in the newly refurbished Clubhouse.

Guests were invited to meet with many experienced and varied practitioners and to meet with the therapists from Bodyzone.

The ladies were treated to complimentary manicures from a professional team of beauty students from Exeter College.

Critically acclaimed play to tour the West Country

From Common Players, in association with Exeter Northcott Theatre, a new production of Jez Butterworth’s critically acclaimed play, Jerusalem, will tour the WestCountry in May and June. The new production will be made in a new way which will involve local artists and communities and teach new skills to those involved.

First performed in 2009, Jerusalem became the Evening Standard’s Best Play of the Year and is an epic and heroic play about our great British need for a connection with the landscape and our roots; an underpinning theme of the 2012 Olympic opening ceremony.
