The Riviera Cafe Bar in Teignmouth is the new host for the Teignmouth and Dawlish Social Media Cafe being held on Wednesday 3 September. Social media experts will be gathering upstairs at the venue to support local businesses and community organisations.

The social media cafe runs from 5pm to 7.30pm and provides a free drop-in event where people can pick up tips and hints on using social media, ask questions, meet other like-minded people over a cup of coffee or a beer.

The event is open to any business or organisation from Teignmouth, Shaldon, Dawlish and Dawlish Warren. On hand will be a number of experts to give advice. Curtis Goss from Pano360 will be talking about why every business should claim their Google listing and social media strategist Nick Ellison will show how to use Facebook adverts to build business.

Angela Rimmer from Angela Consulting will be explaining how LinkedIn is essential for
professionals such as lawyers, accountants and architects and Mandy Pearse from Seashell Communications will be tackling Twitter.

The Social Media Cafe was set up by Mandy Pearse, Director of local firm Seashell
Communications and is supported by the Teignmouth and Dawlish Community Interest Company.

Mandy said: “I meet a lot of people who run businesses and community organisations who want to know how to make the most of social media such as Twitter and Facebook and to take a look at what other options there are. I’m really grateful to Curtis, Nick and Angela for giving their time for free and to the Riviera Cafe Bar for hosting us.”

The Teignmouth and Dawlish Social Media Cafe is held monthly alternating between the towns. The next Dawlish event will be at The Langstone Cliff Hotel on Thursday 2 October from 5pm to 7.30pm.

A facebook page called Teignmouth & Dawlish Social Media Cafe www.facebook.com/TandDSMcafe keeps people up to date with events and provides a forum for questions.
