Devon X Factor star Luke Friend has thanked his fans for making his home coming gig a 'wicked' night.

Luke appeared at The Exeter Daily Auditorium at the city's Phoenix Theatre on Friday where he performed in front of a sell-out crowd.

The 17-year-old, from Teignmouth, topped a bill that also include former The Voice contestant Adam Isaac and up and coming Charlotte Ward.

The Exeter Daily, which promoted Luke's gig, caught up with him last night to ask about the experience.

He told us: "Friday night was absolutely mental! An awesome experience.

"We were looking to do a gig around this area because I’m doing stuff in places like Ireland over the next couple of weeks and I wanted to give something back to the local people that’ve supported me and everything.

"But actually it turned out when we got there that there was people from all over the country anyway! Some had traveled as far as Scotland, Wales; it was mental. It was a wicked gig and I think everyone enjoyed it."

Luke also thanked the team at the Daily for staging the event.

He said: "The Exeter Daily have been amazing. They really pulled it off and I’m so grateful. It was really well organised and them getting Charlotte Ward and Adam Isaac to support me was wicked.

"I loved everything about it and I’d love to do another one again round the area soon. Humungous thank you to The Exeter Daily!"
