Exeter resident scoops £30k with People's Postcode Lottery

One lucky Exeter winner is celebrating after winning £30k thanks to playing People’s Postcode Lottery this week.

The Buddle Lane player scooped the windfall when EX4 1JN was announced as a winner with People’s Postcode Lottery on Monday 17th February 2020.

Offering his congratulations, People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Danyl Johnson, said: “What a fantastic start to the week for our winner in Exeter. I hope they enjoy spending their cash prize and manage to treat themselves to something special.”

A minimum of 32% of ticket sales goes directly to charities and players of People’s Postcode Lottery have helped raise more than £500 million to date for good causes across Great Britain and internationally.

Local charities also benefit from player support. In 2019, Action East Devon received £14,225 of People’s Postcode Lottery funding to support its work in improving people’s mental health and wellbeing. This funding is going to be used specifically to run a Musical Memories project designed to use the power of music to improve and reduce social isolation of people living with dementia.

The draw was promoted on behalf of Water Aid, an international not-for-profit organisation that aims to make clean water, decent toilets and good hygiene the norm for everyone and everywhere within a generation.
