The managing director of Devon’s leading housebuilder says he’s delighted with the company’s most recent results and says his team is gearing up to deliver even more in 2015.

Simon Perks, managing director of Persimmon Homes South West says the strong performance in 2014 was a real team effort.

“Nationally there was an increase of 17% in legal completions in 2014 to 13,509. This is compared to 11,528 in 2013. Our average selling price rose 5% from £180,941 to £190,500 and our full year revenues increased 23% over 2013 to £2.6 billion.

“Our focus is now on continuing to deliver new homes into the communities where they are most needed.

“2014 was extremely busy for us, with our teams selling right up to the end of the year. We’re expecting another strong start to 2015 with many properties already reserved and forward sold. We have new developments launching throughout 2015 and will be working closely with local authorities to ensure planning issues don’t slow the pathway to delivering new communities.”

New sites coming soon for 2015 include Palmerston Heights on land south of William Prance Road, Plymouth. There is a choice of two bedroom apartments, and two, three and four bedroom homes.

At the nearby Saltram Meadow development also in Plymouth, offers are available on houses ranging from two, three and four bedrooms. Offers are also available at Dickens Reach in Liskeard for its two and three bedroom houses.

Mr Perks added: “2015 looks set to be another busy year for our team in Devon and our focus will be on delivering homes into the communities that desperately need them.”
