Cullompton teenager killed in crash

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision near Uffculme on Tuesday night.

At approximately 10.40pm on July 22, a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision occurred on the A3440 just outside Uffculme in Mid Devon involving a Yamaha motor cycle.

As a result of the collision the rider, an 18-year-old man from the Cullompton area was taken to the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.

An investigation has commenced by the Exeter based serious collisions investigation unit.

Any witnesses to the incident are requested to contact police on 101 quoting police reference 1007 of 22 July 2014.
