A family from Exeter are asking for support for their second annual bike ride in memory of their late mother and wife, Bridget Johns, who sadly lost her battle with cancer in March last year.

Chris Johns, one of the organisers of the event and owner of Exeplore - The Bike Bus says: “Mum’s Bike Ride was such a great success last year, we had such an amazing turnout.

"We would like to bring even more families together and remember loved ones in 2015.

"Unfortunately many families are affected by cancer, so all our proceeds are going to support Cancer Research. Together we can help to find a cure.“

The bike ride is taking place on Saturday 12th September at 2pm from Ebford, following the signs from Green Valley Nursery on the Exmouth Road, field gates open at 11am for outdoor games and light refreshments.

There is some free parking available, plus a BBQ and entertainment to enjoy later after the ride.

Why not come and cycle along the stunning Exe Estuary with us. The ride is suitable for all, choose the length of route suitable for you.

Tickets are £5 per adult with children going for free.
