Prospective homeowners flocked to Millbrook Village – Exeter’s first luxury retirement village – on Friday 17th April as it opened its new show home to the public for the first time.

The launch event was a great success, with prospective customers enjoying sunny weather and locally sourced, home made refreshments as they viewed the new three-bedroom Charlotte-style cottage and had an opportunity to meet with existing residents of Millbrook Village.

The Charlotte-style cottage offers an abundance of living space with a generous lounge, separate dining room and large kitchen. Two of the double bedrooms feature en-suites and the ground floor study can be used as a third bedroom, with the added convenience of a fully fitted wet room in close proximity.

Iwan Jones, Managing Director at Renaissance Villages, commented: “We had a lovely afternoon celebrating the launch of our latest show home. Everyone was very enthusiastic about the high quality finish and tasteful, contemporary interior design. We were delighted that several of our existing residents came along to join in the festivities and help prospective customers get a feel for what community life is like at the village.”

Millbrook Village is a first of its kind for Exeter, which is not currently home to any other retirement villages. Located in a peaceful setting close to the river and within easy reach of the city centre, the development offers a selection of luxuriously appointed two- and three-bedroom cottages and one- and two-bedroom apartments for the over 55s. The properties are set within landscaped grounds and centred around a private clubhouse, Springbok Hall, featuring a superb range of country club style facilities, including a restaurant, bar, swimming pool, fitness and health suite, library and medical centre.
