Over the past three years Orvis UK has introduced over 2,500 people to the sport of fly-fishing with its free “Learn about Fly-Fishing” sessions held at Orvis stores around the UK.

Many of these are new anglers and families learning the sport together, which is a positive and heart-warming sign for the fly-fishing industry.

In 2014 more sessions are planned from now until October and anyone is welcome to attend!

The “Learn about Fly-Fishing” classes are a free two hour session, which teach basic knots, rigging up a rod and focus strongly on learning to cast in an intuitive, fun way. Join our fishing specialists at an Orvis store near you for a rewarding and enjoyable introduction to the sport. You will also learn about the fishing opportunities in your area and where to book a days’ fishing or how to join a local club.

On completion of the session, each participant will also receive a free voucher book entitling them to substantial discounts on future purchases of Orvis tackle and Fly-Fishing Schools.

Orvis have a shop in Cathedral Close, Exeter.

Spaces are reserved on a first come, first served basis. To find out more about how Orvis can help you learn to Fly fish go to www.orvis.co.uk/learntoflyfish
