THEATRE

Spamalot
Friday & Saturday, Exeter Northcott Theatre
Stage by Stage returns with another high-energy, high comedy explosion! This spectacular staging of the award-winning Broadway and West End show features all the classic characters, including The Knights who Say Ni and the ferocious Frenchmen with a taste for elderberries. If you like dancing nuns, singing cows and all the silliness of Monty Python then this show will be your ‘Holy Grail’! A Midsummer Night’s Dream
Friday & Saturday, Barnfield Theatre, Exeter
Fairyland is the wild and wonderful night club world of ‘The 43’ in Gerrard Street and the Kit Kat Club. The wood  ‘a mile outside the town’, is St James’ Park. Theseus has an Art Deco palace and music from the period, chosen to fit both characters and scenes, is played and sung by the marvelous ‘Music Deco’. Duke Theseus has won the war but how will he cope with marriage? Will the lovers ever sort out who ends up with whom? Will Oberon and Titania finally get the weather sorted out?  Will Bottom’s mishap mean that Quince’s play never makes it to the West End? Exeter Dissenters Graveyard open day

The graveyard will be open to visitors between 11am and 4pm. Visitors will be able to see the work taking place to repair monuments and headstones, excavation which could reveal a previously unknown underground vault and find out more about the families connected to the graveyard which is situated at the junction of Magdalen Street and Bull Meadow Road. www.edgt.org.uk

RSPB family friendly nature walk

Family friendly walks which showcase the beautiful surrounding farmland and wetlands - a great chance to get out and see some wildlife. The RSPB’s resident expert will be alongside to answer questions and point things out. 2pm-3pm (binoculars available for hire). RSPB members free, non-members £3.

Broadclyst Fun Day and family dog show

An action-packed day of kids races, events, displays, stalls and the very popular Family Dog Show with 10 classes commencing at 2pm. There will be a barbecue, bar, cream teas and ice creams. 11am-5pm.

Pine Feroda
Devon Guild of Craftsmen, Riverside Mill, Bovey Tracey
An exhibition of beautiful titanic-size woodcut prints. Every single work is swiftly and skilfully crafted by the Pine Feroda collective – comprising of five south west based artists, seamlessly working together in harmony on the north coast of Devon. Inspired by Dartmoor
Dartmoor National Park Visitor Centre, Princetown
Visitors to the National Park Visitor Centre in Princetown can enjoy an exhibition of the work of four members of the West Dartmoor Art Group. David Mather, Peter Blake, John Streeter and Gloria Sprague will be exhibiting a selection of paintings in different media, all inspired by their love of Dartmoor.  The exhibition runs until Thursday 30 June and the centre is open daily,10am-5pm. http://www.dartmoor.gov.uk/visiting

Flower Power: Botanical illustrations from India
