All Saints confirmed for Sounds of the Summer Festival
Very special guests, nineties girl band All Saints, have added their name to a sensational line-up of artists performing at this year’s Sounds of the Summer festival at Newton Abbot Racecourse.
The multi-million record selling group along with eighties rock/pop band China Crisis are the latest acts announced for the annual music festival, which takes place on Sunday July 16th.
The news comes just days after it was revealed that reggae royalty UB40 will be appearing live on stage at the racecourse, which is fast becoming a hotspot for live music in the South West. All Saints shot to fame in the 1990s and notched up an impressive 12 million record sales, five number one singles, two multi-platinum albums and two Brit awards with hits like Never Ever, Pure Shores and Rocksteady.
Newly reunited almost a decade after they split, the sassy quartet, comprising Shaznay Lewis, Melanie Blatt and Natalie and Nicole Appleton, recently released their fourth studio album Red Flag and embarked on their first headlining tour in 15 years.
This summer the Never Ever hitmakers will be supporting British pop band Take That on their 25th anniversary Wonderland Live tour before heading to the South West for the Sounds of the Summer spectacular. Also performing live at the racecourse will be New Wave English pop/rock band China Crisis, whose chart success throughout the 1980s included five Top 40 singles and three Top 40 albums including Wishful Thinking and Red Sails.
