The very popular Exeter based charity Dream-A-Way, proudly celebrated their 21st anniversary on Friday 17 October by hosting their ninth consecutive Ball in the beautiful new suites at Sandy Park, the home of the amazing Exeter Chiefs.

The Diamonds Are Forever themed Ball was a glittering success and  thoroughly enjoyed by all 325 guests.

In true Diamonds Are Forever style, the venue looked superb with no glitter or starlight spared.

Arrival cocktails were enjoyed whilst entertainment was beautifully provided by Jazz Lounge setting the opening scene for a simply unforgettable Ball.

The full evening of delicious food and brilliant music from The Lateshift and Nick Coles, Man on Fire moved on rapidly and seamlessly from then on with unbelievable magicians and other table entertainers delighting every guest.

The Fun Bingo, generously sponsored by the Halfway Inn and Dunster Castle, was hugely popular as always and the Beaverbrooks Casino Royale enticed many  guests to have quite a flutter on the tables.

The absolutely superb auction lots , so generously donated by so many stalwart supporters created massive interest.

Our great friends on HMS Defender were unable to attend due to operational duties this year but their invitation to visit and tour the Ship and to have lunch with her Commanding Officer , Phil Nash ,sparked a huge amount of interest and the lucky winner will be enjoying this very soon.

Chairman Jeff Merrett said: “This really was an amazing evening from start to finish. Sandy Park is a stunning venue and our food and entertainment were all top class.

"Our guests of all ages had a terrific time and our fundraising hit a staggering  total in excess of £25,000.

"We are truly indebted to the generosity  of our wonderful guests  who have ensured that we will be able to continue to make dreams come true for some very special local families”

Since the event Dream-A-Way have received many messages and emails praising this spectacular event.

Dream-A-Way are excitedly running into the last few weeks in Princesshay as their chosen charity and there are now only 9 weeks to go before the very lucky draw winner will be announced and will receive keys to a spanking new Mercedes, generously donated by Mercedes Benz South West.
