The UK’s fastest growing wireless network solutions provider, WiFi SPARK, is now an approved supplier to JANET, a government funded body which assists universities, schools, further education and research institutions to get the best out of cloud and data services.

JANET is the network dedicated to the needs of research and education in the UK, helping provide infrastructure to educational institutions and communities, offering impartial advice and sourcing the products needed to facilitate, for example, remote learning, large data storage, video conferencing, and now Guest WiFi Internet access. It also ensures that the UK’s research and educational institutions can connect to each other as well as to the rest of the world through links to the global internet, and over 18 million end-users are currently served by the Janet network.

Dean Moody, Sales Director at WiFi SPARK said:

“We are delighted to receive this sought after accreditation from JANET. Previously educational institutions had a very limited choice of suppliers with this approval; which for many customers did not provide the flexible service they required. By receiving this acknowledgement for our services it very much opens up the possibilities for universities, schools and further education providers across the country, particularly where campus areas may be spread over wide geographical areas to provide cost effective Guest WiFi Services.

“We know that one size does not fit all when it comes to providing network solutions. WiFi SPARK prides itself on offering a truly relevant and bespoke WiFi access solution matching the needs of the client today, and one that can be adapted should a client’s requirements change in the future. This partnership could also mean universities and colleges could see significant savings by using existing infrastructure, and by reducing management overheads and support costs.”
