Tiger Bills, the authentic Thai Bar Wok Grill chain, has announced yet another international franchise agreement, which will see the brand heading Down Under.

The Torquay-based restaurant group have exchanged heads of terms with an experienced operator for the master franchise rights for Australia and New Zealand, meaning that the brand could soon be operating across four continents.

The six-figure deal will help to strengthen the groups’ international presence over the coming years and promises to deliver eight new Tiger Bills sites over the next five years across both territories.

“We are extremely excited to be adding Australia and New Zealand to our ever-growing list of destinations around the world,” says The Lifestyle Group CEO James Eyre. “We're confident that the concept will work well in Australia, as other franchisees abroad have proven.”

This news follows on from a highly successful summer of global signings, including the Indio-Pacific territories and the UAE. There are also ongoing talks with investors in North Africa, the Mediterranean and the States.

“Tiger Bills is not in the business of 'selling franchises'. It is our core belief to award franchises to the most suitable candidates and then offer uncompromising back-up support from site selection, to marketing, training and supply chain,” explains International Vice President for Tiger Bills Patrick Mauser. “We are currently in talks with potential Master Franchisees in China, Taiwan, Pakistan, Myanmar and the Philippines. Further afield, we are also looking at Africa and have commenced European marketing activities.”

“For any European company to be successful, the Asian markets are key. James Eyre is only too aware that nothing is more important than a physical presence in these markets with in-depth understanding of the countries' business cultures and on-going support for our franchisees,” adds Patrick, who works alongside International Franchise Developer Mark Nguyen to build the brand abroad.

“We are truly excited about the potential for growing the Tiger Bills Franchise on a global scale,” adds James Eyre. “It was important to get the right people in place to ensure that we achieve our goals and that's exactly what we've found in Patrick and Mark.”
