Leading South West recruitment and training agency Acorn, has been awarded a place as a Crown Commercial Service (CCS) supplier on the non-medical, non-clinical, temporary staffing framework for the National Health Service (NHS).

The new two-year agreement will be rolled out across all its branches and specialist divisions throughout the UK, and will cover all non-medical roles within a number of sectors, including finance and accounting, IT, office administration, purchasing, technical and facilities management, HR and quality management.

The staffing framework agreement supports the government’s policy to centrally manage the procurement of common goods and services through an integrated commercial function.

Karen Sharpin, Acorn Director of Operations in the South West said: “We are very pleased to have been awarded a place on this important framework.  Acorn has an excellent reputation in the South West for the specialist and general recruitment support it provides across the public sector, including a number of councils and we look forward to developing this further with the CCS.”

The CCS framework can be used by organisations across the UK public sector including central government, local government, health, education, devolved administrations, emergency services, defence and not-for profit organisations.

The CCS works with both departments and organisations across the whole of the public sector, to ensure maximum value is extracted from every commercial relationship and improve the quality of service delivery. The CCS goal is to become the “go-to” place for expert commercial and procurement services.

Acorn operates from 39 branches across Wales and the South West, North West and South East of England, including in Truro, Plymouth, Newton Abbot, Exeter, Tiverton, Taunton and Yeovil locations.
