Storm Imogen traffic updates

There are flood alerts for the River Axe, Lower Exe, Rivers Otter and Sid, Middle Exe, Clyst and Culm and River Teign and an amber warning remains in place for strong winds.

Update: 4pm: 

Reports of an obstruction on the railway track between Exeter St Davids and Taunton currently is blocking the line.

A reduced hourly train service will run between Birmingham New Street and Plymouth.

Rydon Lane is blocked inbound near Russell Way due to a fallen tree, outbound only one lane is open. Motorists advised to find an alternative route.

Yeoford to Crediton closed due to large tree until after school rush.

Toadpit Lane in Ottery St Mary closed due to large fallen tree. 

Taw Bridge near Barnstaple is closed to all vehicles due to strong winds.

Skybus flights have been cancelled for the rest of the day due to gale force winds.

This morning:

Lower Broadoak Road is blocked near Ottery St Mary due to a fallen tree.

One lane is blocked on A379 northbound in Exeter near the A38 junction, because of a fallen tree. Another tree was blown over in Woodwater Lane.

Cowley Bridge Road in Exeter is blocked due to a landslip.

The A377 is blocked at Umberleigh due to a fallen tree by the Portsmouth Arms. The same road is partially blocked at Chulmleigh due to debris

Station Road in Newton St Cyres is closed because of a tree wedged under the bridge.

A large trampoline eneded up in the road on B3181 Silver Street in Willand at the B3440 Uffculme Road junction.

A379 at Shaldon near the Ness car park is blocked by a large tree.

Meanwhile Queen's Drive in Exmouth became an extended beach after it was covered in a foot of sand.

Network Rail say all trains in and out of Cornwall have been cancelled due to a fallen tree across both tracks at Bodmin.

At Exeter Airport, there are delays to flights to and from Manchester and Amsterdam.
