Police seek witnesses to serious assault in Exeter

Police are seeking witnesses to a serious assault in Exeter after a man suffered a broken leg.

The 19-year-old victim was assaulted by another man at a burger van on Summerland Street between 2am and 2.30am on Sunday 18 September.

The offender punched the man in the face and threw him to the floor, causing the serious injury to his leg. The victim, from Exeter, was treated in hospital for his injuries.

Police are investigating the assault and seeking the suspect who is described as white, around 6ft tall and of stocky build.

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault which happened near to the nightclub, Unit 1, which would have been busy at the time of the offence.
