McDonald’s Franchisee David Shawyer has sponsored the 34th annual Exeter Ambassador of the Year Awards.

The awards celebrate the work carried out by the Council’s Public and Green Space teams who work to keep the local area tidy.

The Awards ceremony took place on the 19th October at the Exeter Guildhall and all attendees including local Council members, the Chief Executive of the City Council and the Lord Mayor, Cynthia Thompson, were treated to a McDonald’s lunch, provided by David’s restaurant on the High Street.

David, who owns and operates the McDonald’s restaurant on 190 Exeter High Street, said: “I was really proud to sponsor the 34th Ambassador of the Year Awards. It’s great to be able to celebrate some real local ‘stars’ at this event who contribute so much to keep Exeter a pleasant place to both live and visit.

"I hope everyone enjoyed their lunch and I look forward to working with them in the future.”
