Man charged after cannabis seized in Axminster

A man has been charged following a substantial cannabis seizure in Axminster.

Officers were called to the former Axe Vale Social Club in Chard Street after reports of a strong smell of cannabis in the area.

Officers attended the address at around 7.30am on Thursday 7th July and arrested a man on suspicion of production of class B cannabis.

Erion Bardhi, age 27, of no fixed abode was later charged with the offence and was due to appear at Exeter Magistrates Court on Saturday 9th July.

Due to the extensive amount of equipment and plants found in the property, which is spread over three floors, officers continued to collect equipment and sieze materials throughout the weekend.
