Northcott Beaton, one of Devon’s top insurance companies, has launched a new affinity scheme designed to raise funds for charities and community groups across Devon.

The Exeter Leukaemia Fund is the first charity to sign up to the Free Tenners scheme which will enable charity supporters to raise funds through the purchase of day-to-day insurance products.

The scheme, the first of its kind, will assist charities and community groups with their fundraising efforts when they sign up as a Free Tenners Partner. When supporters of the registered charities and groups purchase their everyday insurance products with Northcott Beaton, Free Tenners will donate £10 per policy.

Customers can choose from a range of everyday insurance products such as Home Buyers Protection insurance, Breakdown Cover, Mobile Phone Insurance and Family Legal Protection.

Nick Beaton, Managing Director of Northcott Beaton, said: “The Free Tenners scheme not only presents our customers with great insurance choices, but it raises money for local charities and community groups at the same time. Our customers can now help their local community at the same time as protecting themselves.”

The first Free Tenners Partner to sign up is Exeter Leukaemia Fund, ELF, a charity supporting patients and their families across Devon who are affected by blood cancers and blood disorders.

Alison Upton, Fundraiser at ELF, said: “We are thrilled to partner Northcott Beaton and benefit from the Free Tenners scheme.  Insurance is something that everyone needs to buy anyway and so it seems a win win situation to use a company that also donates to charity.”

All charities and community clubs can sign up to the scheme by visiting www.northcottbeaton.co.uk
