Entries are now open for the Michelmores Charity 5k Run, which will take place on 8 September 2016 at 6.30pm.

This year the Exeter law firm is aiming to attract a record 1,200 runners, encouraging local people and businesses to get together to celebrate the city of Exeter and to fundraise for Michelmores' local Charity of the Year, Balloons, who support bereaved children and their families in Exeter and beyond.

The run takes place over a five-kilometre city centre course starting and finishing on Exeter's Cathedral Green. The route, new for this year, will take in many of Exeter's historic and best-loved landmarks, including Exeter Castle, Southernhay, The Guildhall and more.

The event begins at 6pm, with the run itself starting at 6.30pm. This will be followed by a prize giving ceremony for the individual runners and the fastest team. There will also be a cash bar provided by Oddfellows Exeter and food stalls by Titley Green and Dan's American Kitchen.

Will Michelmore, Senior Partner at Michelmores said: “This year we have launched a brand new route, starting and finishing at Exeter Cathedral Green, which will take in many of the city's important landmarks.
“All of the funds raised will go straight to Balloons, a fantastic local charity – so we are calling for runners of all ages and abilities to get involved and help us beat our fundraising target once again."

The entry fee is £15 per runner which includes an official Michelmores Charity Run t-shirt and individual running times. For more details and to register, please visit www.michelmores.com/charityrun.

Runners must be over 13 years of age.
