Last week a local award winning at-home care provider celebrated several staff member service milestones.

Bluebird Care Exeter and East Devon understand how important staff longevity and commitment is to the happiness and welfare of their customers, so take time each quarter to recognise, celebrate and simply thank the staff who have reached service achievements.

William Flint, Director said “Our Care Workers are the lifeblood of this business, their dedication and commitment to doing the best job possible is staggering, so to take time out to thank them is so important”

Husband and wife team, William and Sara, launched Bluebird Care Exeter in 2011 and Bluebird Care East Devon in March 2013 and since then it’s gone from strength to strength – employing 80 members of staff from the local area and looking after over 200 customers.

In total across Exeter and East Devon 26 staff members were given awards, ranging from congratulations on passing their probationary period to receiving gift vouchers and bubbly for 3 years service.

Both Bluebird Care Exeter and East Devon have several Care Workers who have been with the company since it began and with William and Sarah recognising how important Care Worker continuity to their Customers is, employee engagement and recognition remains a key focal point for the care provider. Continuity helps to foster trust and deeper relationships between Care Workers and Customers – something Bluebird Care often receive great feedback and thanks for.

Kim who celebrated her 2 year milestone with Bluebird Care East Devon said “they are a brilliant company to work for. I find being a palliative carer very rewarding; looking after people, giving them the best possible last few months, weeks or days is definitely a privileged position to have”.
